Stage plays

In August 2020, my stage script “Shedding” – based on my sci-fi story to be published by AntipodeanSF – is shortlisted for the Madwomen Monologues festival produced by Baggage Productions.

The ARKfest Short Play Festival in Melbourne, Australia, ran over the weekend of March 7 and 8, 2020. Twenty-five plays battled it out for the finals. My monologue “Post hoc ergo propter hoc”, directed by Dexter Bourke of 1812 Theatre and acted by Jacqui Cooke, not only made it to the finals, but won a couple of awards in its heat: Adjudicator’s Award and People’s Choice Award.

In November 2019, my monologue “Post hoc ergo propter hoc” – based on my flash fiction piece of the same name – makes the final cut for the ARKfest Short Play Festival 2020. The festival will take place in March.

The ARKfest Short Play Festival in Melbourne, Australia, ran over the weekend of March 24 and 25, 2018. Thirty-one plays battled it out for first prize in the grand finale. My monologue Corpse Candles, directed by Bob Bramble and acted by Aimee Short, came second. Aimee won Best Actress. Congratulations!

In December 2017, my play monologue, “Corpse Candles”, was accepted into the ARKfest Short Play Festival. On March 24th & 25th 2018, twenty-five plays will be performed at a Yarra Ranges arts centre by theatre companies from around the state of Victoria.

In March 2015, the editors of Gargouille Magazine ask to publish my short-play script, We Have What You Want.

My short play, ‘Family business’, was performed as part of the ‘Ten in 10 session’ by Shepparton Theatre Arts Group, March 8th – 9th 2015.

My play monologue, ‘Family racket’, was performed as part of the Madwomen Monologues at the Local Taphouse, St Kilda, in Melbourne, November 2014. My one-act play, ‘The Patsy’, was performed by members of Gemco Players Theatre on July 18th 2014 as part of the Dandenong Ranges One-Act Play Festival. Thanks to Mark Caile, Alan Ashby, David Greenaway and the rest of the cast and crew for an excellent job.

My play, ‘Flight path’, was performed as part of the Armidale Drama & Music Society’s biennial season of short plays, Favourite Shorts, in March 2014.

In November 2013, my stage play, ‘We have what you want’, was performed in the Shepparton Theatre Arts Group 2013 festival, ‘Ten in 10’.

In May 2013, my stage play, ‘Thy way, O God, is in the sanctuary’, was shortlisted for the Little Gems Festival hosted by Gemco Theatre Company.

In April 2012, my stage play, ‘Lunch at the trout farm’, was shortlisted for the Little Gems Festival hosted by Gemco Theatre Company.

In April 2011, my stage play, ‘Flight path’, was shortlisted for performance in the ‘Little Gems’ 10-minute play festival, run by Gemco Players Theatre. In May, it was selected to be performed. The play festival ran from August Friday 5th, Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th 2011. In October 2010, my stage plays ‘We have what you want’ and ‘Flight path’ were both shortlisted for the Short + Sweet Sydney 2011 festival.

My one-act stage play ‘The patsy’ was performed as part of the inaugural Lion Pie Laboratory at Fraser Studios on Sunday July 25th 2010.

In August 2009, Paula Armstrong organised a workshopping of my one-act stage play ‘The patsy’.

In May 2009, My 10-minute stage play ‘We have what you want’, which is based on my short story of the same name (published in Polestar Writers’ Journal Dec 09/Jan 10), was performed as part of Eltham Little Theatre 10-Minute Quickie competition.

Radio plays

My radio play, ‘Flight path’, was broadcast on SouthernFM 88.3 on March 5th 2013.

On August 2nd 2011, my radio play ‘We have what you want’, based on my short story and stage play of the same name, was broadcast on SouthernFM 88.3. The station’s podcast URL is http://southernfm.com.au
